Q: Düzensiz (irregular) karşılaştırma sıfatları nelerdir?

Bazı sıfatlar kurala uymaz: good → better → the best, bad → worse → the worst, far → further/farther → the furthest/farthest, little → less → the least, much/many → more → the most. Bunlar ezberlenmelidir; 'gooder' veya 'baddest' gibi biçimler yanlıştır.

Kurallar (Hece Sayısına Göre)

Hangi biçimin kullanılacağı sıfatın hece sayısına bağlıdır:

1 heceli sıfatlar: sona -er / -est eklenir. Sıfat tek sesli + tek sessizle bitiyorsa son sessiz çiftlenir (big → bigger).
2 heceli, -y ile bitenler: y → i olur, sonra -er / -est eklenir (happy → happier).
2 veya daha fazla heceli (uzun) sıfatlar: önüne more / the most getirilir (beautiful → more beautiful).

Çift karşılaştırma yapılmaz: ya -er ya more, ikisi birden değil.

❌ He is the most tallest. → ✅ He is the tallest.
Aynı şekilde superlative'de de the most ile -est birlikte kullanılmaz.
